Enjoying a generous expanse of prime Southern California coastline, Playa del Rey sometimes gets confused for its neighbors Marina Del Rey and Del Rey but this intimate beachside enclave on the Westside of Los Angeles should be known and adored in its own right for its long sandy beach and the protected Ballona Wetlands, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.
