Tucked in between Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach, charming Hermosa Beach is the third of the beach cities and known for its scenic pier and the Strand. Its 1.4 square mile size gives it a small town resort appeal truly earning its motto as “The Best Little Beach City.”

Real Estate:  Hermosa’s tiny size puts real estate at a premium. There are grand residences along the Strand, bungalows set back a few blocks from the beach in the Sand section and homes in the hills that offer ocean views.

Community Life: Life is calm and breezy along the Strand as people visit to run, bicycle, or play volleyball at the beach. The Hermosa Beach Farmers Market is held on Wednesdays 11-4 at Pier Plaza. Fiesta Hermosa is a twice a year arts and crafts show at the Hermosa Beach pier held on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.

Education: Hermosa Beach is served by the Hermosa Beach City School District which consists of the Hermosa Valley School and the Hermosa Beach School and serves grades k-8. Students in Hermosa generally attend Manhattan Beach or Redondo Beach high schools.

Transportation: Pacific Coast Highway runs through the center of the city. . Beach Cities Transit provides local public transit service in the South Bay. Two fixed-routes provide convenient north/south service connecting Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo as well as east/west connectivity to the City of Torrance. The city is also Metro-accessible.

Local Attractions: The legendary Comedy & Magic Club has hosted many of the best known comics including Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, and Jay Leno. The city hosts several volleyball and surfing events over the course of the year which attract thousands of tourists.
